Are you guys as excited as I am about this new character? I dearly hope he casted well! I'm very fond of him in the books. How old do you think the actor will be? So far with the Pevensies, the ages are very different from the books, as we've already seen.

I can picture him being 14 in the book, although they will probably make Caspian closer to Will's age, maybe 16-17. They just have to get this character right, but I trust Pippa Hall, she did a spectacular job with the 4 Pevensies!

Yes, the movies have tended to bumb up character's ages. That would make more sense as well for an older 'child' to embark on such a journey. I always imagined Caspian as an adult--a young adult, but still--even though it wasn't really correct, that's how he came across.

Re-reading PC he does seem really young! Like, his nurse just left! But maybe you can be old and still have a nurse...
But it's always different with film-making. I think an old Caspian would be better in his mid-teens.

I actually thought that their ages in the film was around right (okay, maybe slightly older, especially for Peter, but it was still close) - like, the ages their characters came across as, I'm not going by how old the actors were. I thought that Lucy was about that, since in Prince Caspian she's meant to be a year older, and she's going to boarding school for the first time, which makes her around 10 then (or so I thought). Caspian is kind of young in the book, but he might have been 10 or 11 and still had a nurse. Especially since he didn't have a mother as such, and that by the time he flees, he would have been older yet again. I was always confused by Caspian's age, especially since he gets married at the end of the Voyage of the Dawn Treader! *grabs said book* Hmm, all it says is that he's some years older than Lucy, and taller than her (the accompanying picture has him as taller than Edmund) and it's three of his years after Prince Caspian. I'd say if the character in the film was around 14 in Prince Caspian, I'd be happy....

14, yeah. I think I always pictured him about Edmund's age. Thanks for looking that up, Herenya.

At the begining of the book he comes across as maybe 12 or 13 to me, but later on it seems as if he's matured to maybe 15 or 16. They'll probably cast him around Will's age, if not a bit younger.
I hope they get someone good, it wouldn't do to have Prince Caspian played terribly, seeing as he is one of my favourite characters!

Haha, yeah, let's hope it is just a rumor. I dunno, maybe if he put on a little weight, so he didn't look so skinny, maybe he'd look a little younger.

Perhaps...ick. They will not ruin Caspian! There would be a huge revolt, no doubt!

Lol, why, yes of course. There'd be people buying passports and airplane tickets to England just to throw rocks in Andrew Adamson's window. *covers mouth* Whoops, don't want to give anyone ideas.

I'd throw tomatoes. But yeah, I though I'd heard that Pippa Hall wouldn't start casting until the end of this year...so I doubt they know yet. Pfft, can these people move any slower?
