So, I've been wondering when everyone gets out for the summer holidays. I'm thinking it's at different times for most of us, but I could be wrong.
I think I get off on June 9th or something like that. *sigh* Long way to go still...

Oi, all you college/university students are all getting off so much earlier. I guess you've done all your finals and such then, right? We did them a loooong time ago, but were still stuck in school because the higher forms still haven't taken theirs yet.

I am in last year of high school, and I believe the final day of classes is June 20, but my last exam is on the 28th. Wow, that seems so far away.

I don't finish until ... I think my last exam is Novemeber 14th. And then I'll probably have end-of-year stuff up until almost Christmas, but I won't have school or homework or anything. I'll be free! *is excited at prospect* However, that being months away, I have lots of evil tests, homework and winter to get through before then. (Yes, I live in the southern hemisphere...)

I remember when I was young and naive I used to think that when we were having summer [June/July] it was November and December in the southern hemisphere. I couldn't understand how that would be possible because then our New Years would be different. Finally I decided to actually pay attention during our studies of astronomy [which I found most effective] and I found out the truth.

lol, that's funny! It took me a while to realise that the school year ran differently in the northern hemisphere - I think I didn't discover that until I read Harry Potter! I still think it must be confusing having the school year run differently to the normal year, but it's probably due to what I'm used to.
