A poem from Aslan's perspective, about his sacrifice.
Because of love A simple choice, nothing more For those I love, I will become Weak and powerless, Helpless and afraid, Everything I am not. Because of love.
They won't understand, No words could explain it, This sacrifice of purity. The one who sang And created a world will die Because of love.
Their tears I can see from a distance How I long to wipe them away But the cords that bite are bound so tight My body cannot escape. A scream and I am floating, the world disappears Into nothingness. Because of love.
The sun rises... Has it only been one night? They turn from me, forlorn, But I have been reborn A thundrous crack, a burst of light Their king has now returned. Once again the world is good Because of love.
