I believe there is a world beyond our vision…a world that we can only enter by faith. In The Chronicles of Narnia we are invited into this invisible world. In entering, we set our on an inner journey that takes us deeper into oursefves.
I have found myself in so many of the different children or characters as they make good or bad choices and consequently I have been faced with difficult realities about myself. Sometimes those things are dark, violent, and kindof unbearable. I think, though, that when I choose to face these things, I move towards greater life and truth in a journey that really is a process of uncovering who I truly am and what my purpose in life is.
I don't think the deep questions of life can be answered on the surface. We can only hope to experience resolution to the anxiety and stress of living in this world as we open up to a deeper reality. Our peace in this world depends largely upon our willingness to embrace the possibility of realities that transcend this world. In The Narnia Chronicles, C.S. Lewis invites us to embrace this possibility.
Just like with LotR, this Narnian journey has taken me beyond my five senses into a land of mystery, wonder, and “magic”....a land where I can find enlightenment, healing and solice.
I was just wondering if any of you have experienced the same thing.
