I thought of doing this as a poll, but polls only allow for you to have one favourite character. So, who is your overall favourite character in the series? Who did you identify with when reading various books? I read them when I was 8-9 yrs old, so I always identifyed with the main female character, who was my favourite. Original, eh? I think Lucy is my favourite. I also really like Jill, Polly, the King in the Last Battle whose name I've gone blank on, Jewel the unicorn, Puddleglum, Rilian, Reepicheep, Shasta, Aravis and... actually, I think I like most of the characters! They're all great... I can't chooose...

Wellllll....Edmund, I suppose, is the one I've started saying lately. It's wonderful the way he turns completely around when he reforms. And Peter and Lucy are "classic" favorite characters. And Aslan, too, of course, and Eustace, for the same reasons as Edmund, Reepicheep also, Puddleglum is great ;D , and you may as well insert an entire list here and save my fingers the typing. ;D

Edmund and Jadis. When I first read The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe as a wee child, I just found myself identifying with Edmund immediately. I knew EXACTLY how he felt at times and such. I just always have loved his character. Always so well written...in all the books. Anything to do with Ed always seemed to be written a little differently. And I loved the fact that as he got older....he was more reserved and thought things threw. And I always thought that that wisdom was something special. Now, the reason I love Jadis is that she is so purely evil. But in The Magician's Nephew...when they first met her...now that was a well written passage. Very haunting....I think why I liked her so much is her ability to manipulate...and I didn't hate her for that...for some reason, even though I usually hate characters like that...but I guess it must have been written in a way...for me at least, that I didn't mind her manipulative, evil ways. So, Edmund is my first and most loved. (I guess it's obvious by all the banners of Ed and my avvie of Ed...and my little quote...hee hee hee) But he goes hand in hand with Jadis...soooo....yeah.

^Yeah, there's something about horrible evil that's just...striking, for lack of a better word. I can't think of the right way to describe it, but I so get what you're saying, MB!!
I always feel like I should know the answer to this question, like I'm a bad fan if I don't have an all-time favorite character that I've treasured for my entire life. I just can't pick one, though! Jewel is so noble, I love his character. And even Tirian, as rash as he is, I like him, too! Caspian is just all-around cool because he's for the Old Narnia. Edmund's story of redemption blows me away. Of course Aslan always captivates me.
But thinking of Lucy...I just really admire her. And yeah, I'll admit it, I did think she and Susan were cool just because I first heard the story when I was little. But Lucy has that child-like faith that's so innocent and trusting. She's the one who never doubted Aslan, always knew he was there, even when the others didn't believe her. That's what I admire.
