What an incredible score! The different feelings that it evokes thoughout the movie are dynamic! My two boys are both addicted to this soundtrack too. (Especially “The Battle”)
I love The Lord of the Rings soundtrack but it didn't jump out at me or inspire me like Narnia's. When I first saw The Chronicles of Narnia movie and heard the music I was SO moved and overwhelmed. I think Harry Gregson Williams does wonderful things in unconventional ways.
Being a pianist and having a background in music, I have always wanted to compose music like that but have never done it. This soundtrack has given me the inspiration to get some software, a keyboard controller and some VST instruments and start making music! Thank you so much Harry Gregson Williams!
Any feelings on Williams or favorite parts of the soundtrack?

Ah, "The Battle" is definitely a very good part of the music. I also like the theme when Lucy first walks into Narnia. I think it's used later on when all the children are in Narnia, as well. And, well, the whole thing, I guess. ;D My personal experience was rather the opposite, though: The Lord of the Rings music jumped out at me (I tended to hum it on the way home from the theater) but the Narnia music, while enthralling me while I listened to it, didn't stick in my brain, even though I wanted it to. I think it could stand entirely alone, say as a piece of classical music, whereas TLOTR music is tied to the movie. Harry Gregson-Williams could be one of those people who inspires people to get up and do things.

I have to agree, the score to this film was spectacular! Harry Gregson-Williams did a fantastic job. I think both LOTR and Narnia soundtracks were very "inspiring." In their own ways. But, I may be a bit biased and say that I found the LOTR ones more inspiring...just because...well, never mind. Ha ha ha.
I thought, as my cousin calls it the "Choo-choo" song, "Evacuating London" was particularly moving. Mr. Tumnus' flute song....now THAT one, I got chills too. But I'll agree, "The Battle" was REALLY inspiring and amazing. I still get chills everytime I listen to it.
Hmmm...now I really want to listen to that soundtrack again...*wanders off*

I loved Evacuating London, but aside from that I wasn't in love with the soundtrack just from having seen the film (even after the second time.), well, aside from the credit music. Now that I've heard it on its own, I have to admit that I do like it a lot. It's not my favourite, but its really good. Agree, I like The Battle a lot and Mr Tumnus's song! I also really like "Where", that's one I can be tempted to play on repeat....

Ah, the score was great for LWW! But as my friend put it "it kinda faded into the background most of the time". I think it blends beautifully with the movie, but some themes weren't as strong as they could have been. Don't get me wrong, though, I do love it immensely! Right now I am in love with "Only the Beginning of the Adventure". That track is particulary gorgeous, and during one part, it never fails to make me smile Thats a sign of a good composer!
